Where this comes from
Well records come from Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC), via ONGAEIR. Facility and emissions layers, where present, come from EPA programs including GHGRP, NEI and ECHO, and from PHMSA for pipeline incidents. Atlas normalises these into one schema and joins them on the well API number.
Regulatory data has limits worth knowing. It does not capture failure-mode emissions, it can carry operator reporting errors, and it lags current conditions. Every figure above is a count of what the agency published, not an independent measurement.
